Lafayette Gun Club offers many juniors programs for students aged 5 to 18 from Air Rifles to Shotguns.

Junior Shotgun Marksmanship Qualification Program

The shotgun program meets the 1st, 3rd, and 5th non-holiday weekend Saturdays from 8am – 11am on the LGC Shotgun Range and follows the NRA Basic Shotgun Qualification Standards. This program does not meet on holidays that coincide with a Monday holiday. All equipment is provided for first time shooters. The cost is $3 for members and $5 for non-members, plus the cost of shells or bring your own shells. The preferred shot shells are #7 ½ and #8 shot, which each participant must provide. Each participant typically uses 50 to 100 shells during each practice. Shotguns are available for use by the juniors. This program is open to all Juniors 9-18 years old. Since Junior shotgun program events occur primarily outdoors, scheduling of activities are subject to weather conditions.
